This is bad; very, very bad.

While I may not be able to forecast when last to go” markets like the “Dow Jones Propaganda Average” and paper gold and silver will break free of the “powers that be’s’” unconscionable, blatantly obvious manipulation, I’ll put my track record of political, economic, and monetary predictions up there with any of the most famous – in many cases, infamous – “gurus.”  The reason being, that in a world of lies, corruption, brainwashing, stupidity, manipulation, and brainwashing, only a handful of free thinkers – like myself, and you – still apply logic on a daily basis.

To that end, the titles of recent Audioblogs say it all, regarding what I’m feelingand anticipating; i.e., “frankly, I’m terrified”; “BrExit times ten”; and “…financial markets will die.”  Regarding the latter, watching this morning’s acceleration of the post-Trump commodity; currency; and most importantly, bond market crash, I can’t help considering how close we are to the long-awaited “Big One” washing over Western shores as powerfully as it has already decimated many “third world” nations, and is in the process of doing so to most of the “second world.”  Sure, the gold Cartel is going hog wild defending its current “line in the sand” at $1,230/oz.  However, one day soon, we’ll be laughing when we consider the fear some of us were experiencing (particularly those heavily exposed to “paper PM investments”); or more likely, crying at the state of the world, and the catastrophic scenario a handful of “elites” caused.

Call it Brexit 2.0: American Edition.

Like their British counterparts, who voted in June to cut ties with the European Union (EU), American voters resoundingly rejected globalism last week, calling into question the United States’ involvement in military alliances such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)—which is 72 percent funded by U.S. tax dollars – and international trade deals, from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Over the course of his campaign, Donald Trump sharply criticized such groups, vowing either to renegotiate the terms or pull out of them altogether. The future of the Paris climate agreement, ratified by over 100 countries as of this month, has also been thrown into uncertainty.

We all remember how Brexit was inaccurately predicted, with polls saying the referendum would fail. In a modern-day equivalent of “Dewey Defeats Truman,” U.S. polls also got the presidential election spectacularly wrong, missing the forest for the trees. Many polls, including CNN, Huffington Post and the Princeton Election Consortium, had Clinton’s chances of winning above 90 percent.

Trump And The Markets The Next Four Years

By: Darryl Robert Schoon

The election of Donald Trump has put added pressure upon already pressured markets. The next four months are going to be extremely consequential. But the next four years are going to be even more so, i.e. the cataclysmic resolution of capitalism’s end game is now in sight.

In free markets, the most important dynamic is supply and demand. In capital markets, the most important factor is the cost of credit; and in capitalism’s end game, the cost of credit is even more important because it’s the cost of credit that determines when the end game will end—and, today, the cost of credit, i.e. the interest rate, is now moving higher, a trend exacerbated by Trump’s recent victory which threatens market stability.

Although he expects prices to trade sideways to lower over the next couple of months, Sprott U.S. Holdings CEO Rick Rule says time is on gold’s side. Speaking with Kitco News on the sidelines of the Silver & Gold Summit in San Francisco, he said investors need to “the arithmetic supports gold irrespective of the narrative.” Rule is not so concerned about the outcome of the U.S. election either. “I think what matters is the deficit and negative interest rates,” … (read more)

Silver and the Train Wreck

Full Article: Silver and the Train Wreck

By: Gary Christenson

The U.S. National Debt is a “train-wreck.” The official debt is nearly $20 trillion and the unfunded liabilities are $100 – $200 trillion, depending on who is counting.

  1. It can never be repaid. Implications are dire.
  2. Official debt doubles about every 8 years. Does $80 trillion of official debt in the early 2030s sound viable?
  3. Per Krugman there is no problem. Consider the source.
  4. Denial is not a winning strategy, but it does prolong the period before the crash.
  5. The losers in the crash will probably not be the financial or political elite. That leaves the rest of us.

There are several factors that has  gold prices stuck in what Marin Katusa describes as a “twilight zone.” Founder of Katusa Research and one of the organizers behind the Silver & Gold Summit, Katusa told Kitco News that gold prices could move either way, even below $1,100 an ounce.
