In a previous article, I have shown how economic conditions, today, appear very similar to that of the early 80s (circa 1983). These similar conditions show up on the long-term gold and Dow charts, as shown in that article.

Now, if those similarities continue, then the Dow will continue much higher from this point on, while gold will go into a long-term bear market. However, I have also pointed out that there are just too many fundamental obstacles, that would make such a scenario almost impossible.

YDreams Global Interactive Technologies Inc. has been commissioned by one of the top five energy companies in the world with over $17-billion (U.S.) in annual revenue, to create a virtual reality (VR) immersive experience to present to guests at the largest solar energy complex in Brazil. The new facility is a result of $175-million (U.S.) investment as part of a two-year plan for investing $3.8-billion (U.S.) in Brazil, to generate 340 gigawatt-hours of clean energy per year and fully meet the requirements of 166,000 homes in the Brazilian northeast, avoiding the emission of 198,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

Daniel Japiassu, chief executive officer for YDreams Global, explained that, “Our noteworthy global energy clients assignment counted on the large expertise of our company in creating an immersive virtual reality experience.”

The global energy company, with over 84 gigawatts of global energy capacity in Brazil, has a network of gas and energy distribution of over 1.9 million kilometres. Present in over 30 countries in four continents, the company has made major acquisitions in the Brazilian market and supplies energy to over 10 million people in the country. “We believe this first assignment with such a large company, committed to long-term investments in clean energy, may bring many future business opportunities for YDreams Global in this entire industry,” said Mr. Japiassu.

(Kitco News) – The gold market is seeing some renewed buying but remains under pressure for the third straight session following weaker-than-expected U.S. housing data.

Wednesday, the Commerce Department’s latest report showed that U.S. housing starts fell 4.8% in to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.155 million units in July, down from June’s revised rate of 1.213 million units. Consensus forecasts compiled by most news organizations called for starts to be around unchanged, holding around 1.22 million units.

SELECTCORE SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR PEER TO PEER LENDING WITH THE OPTION TO PURCHASE SOURCE CODE

Selectcore Ltd. will be rebranded as Fintech Select in an effort to continue expanding its financial payment services to its customers. The company is pleased to confirm that it has signed an agreement to licence software as a service (SAAS) to enable peer-to-peer lending, including the option to outright purchase the source code.

Peer-to-peer lending, sometimes abbreviated P2P lending, is the practice of lending money to individuals or businesses through on-line services that match lenders with borrowers. Since peer-to-peer lending companies offering these services generally operate on-line, they can run with lower overhead and provide the service more cheaply than traditional financial institutions. As a result, lenders can earn higher returns compared with savings and investment products offered by banks, while borrowers can borrow money at lower interest rates, even after the P2P lending company has taken a fee for providing the match-making platform and credit checking the borrower.

Besides microloans, the company is also exploring other loan offerings that can be interconnected into the P2P platform from institutional entities and or private individuals. The company’s prepaid card program will play a critical role within this new P2P platform, as it will allow borrowers to receive funds directly to their cards and/or mobile wallets.

Mohammad Abuleil states: “This is an accretive revenue opportunity that will exploit our current business model and infrastructure. In essence, we will be able to connect our prepaid and e-wallet products and services to offer our customers virtual banking services that were once the exclusive domain of traditional financial institutions. Additionally, our service augments existing brick-and-mortar establishments that provide short-term money solutions like Money Mart and Payday Loans.”
