The factors driving the dollar lower are several and disparate. The US economy is sluggish relative to the rest of the world, the rise of Asia from which America is excluded is unstoppable, geopolitics are shifting away from US global dominance, and the end is in sight for monopolistic payment for oil in US dollars.

These subjects have been covered in some detail in my recent articles, which will be referred to for further clarification where appropriate. This article summarises these trends, and explains why the consequence appear certain to drive gold, priced in dollars, much higher.

Full Article : Don’t Rock the Boat – Yellen

As if Janet Yellen took a cue from the 1974 song by the Hues Corporation, in her speech Friday at the annual economic symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, she decided not to rock the boat. Although she spoke out in defense of the regulations that were initiated during the Obama presidency, she did not address any future plans or timetables in regard to the Federal Reserve’s next rate hike.

The only boat she really rocked was her own. She sent a loud and clear message to this current administration as she defended the Dodd Frank legislation implemented after the 2008 crisis. In her speech, she acknowledged that it was the reforms that shored up the U.S financial system by making it mandatory that banks increase the capital on hand, as well as the alleviation of high-risk assets on their balance sheets.

Selectcore Ltd. has filed articles of amendment effecting its name change to Fintech Select Ltd. The company expects that the shares will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the new name and ticker symbol FTEC upon the opening of the markets on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017.

The name change better reflects the company’s plans to implement software solutions the company has been developing to integrate cryptocurrency and other fintech products to its existing prepaid card and point-of-sale platforms.

Soon to be released upgrades will enable the company to integrate mobile wallet technology enabling consumers to purchase and sell bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies.

The company intends to integrate its proprietary cryptowallet technology to its prepaid card products allowing for seamless spending of cryptocurrencies.

Mohammad Abuleil, president and chief executive officer, states: “These are exciting times for our company as the interest in cryptocurrencies has grown exponentially over the past year and allows us to deploy our fintech solutions that focus on simplicity that allows consumers to seamlessly participate in the crypto and fintech economy.
